Nothing but blue skies smiled on the riders and spectators at last weekend’s annual Longines Global Champions Tour Miami Beach. Three days of competition culminated in a win for the London Knights in the second leg of the team tour, moving them into second place overall behind Valkenswaard United. The individual highlight went to Belgium’s Jérôme Guéry, who won the €300,000 Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix CSI5* of Miami Beach aboard the 11-year-old Belgian Warmblood gelding, Grand Cru van de Rozenberg.
Yet as impressive as the competition was inside the ring, LGCT Miami Beach’s ringside street style (or, better yet, beach style) is always in a league of its own. Along with the usual, scantily clad suspects there was plenty of fresh inspiration as well—including tie-dye bikinis, splashy patterned sundresses, and neon shades in every color.
Here, a photo gallery of some of the most distinctive looks at one of show jumping’s most one-of-a-kind events.
