A regular face on NF Style, 21-year-old show jumper Nicola Pohl has shared everything from her favorite exercises to her New Year’s resolutions. Over the last year, the rider for Dagobertshausen Equestrian Centre in central Germany made huge strides in her riding competing at multiple events along the Longines Global Champions Tour (LGCT) and the Longines Global Champions League as a member of the Cascais Charms. Producing solid rounds in the first CSI5* classes of her career while balancing her ongoing studies at the Frankfurt International Business School, Nicola is an inspiring example for hardworking young equestrians.

If 2017 was any indication of what’s to come for this rising talent, then we can’t wait to see what this new year and new competition season will bring. And while the first shows of 2018 kick off this week, we’ll be following Nicola’s social media to stay up-to-date on all her ‘Pohl Posts’ and we hope you will too.

Name: Nicola Pohl

Age: 21

Hometown: Frankfurt

Current location: Frankfurt

Discipline and level of riding: I did the Global Tour (5*)last year, normally 3* level.

Approach to ‘gramming’: I obviously like to post pictures of my horses, funny things that happened, great memories, moments or just a really nice picture I like.

IG Live or Snapchat? Snapchat! I post much more on my Snapchat than on IG story as I find it more private.

(my snapchat is nicola-pohl)

Favorite riding clothes brands: Alessandro Albanese

Favorite streetwear brands: I love finding small shops and usually I just but what I like 🙂

2-3 other accounts you like: I like @lewishamilton‘s account because I think he’s managing his sport & lifestyle really great, also I like @theellenshow- it always makes me laugh, and @beforeIdie- shows incredible places I want to travel to.

Words of advice for a good IG account: Just make it your own, post whatever you want, whenever and how often. I feel like people worry too much about posting a lot, also I always try to create my post as a memory for myself. Sometimes I would write a caption with something that happened that time so it reminds me of it.
