We all know the saying, ‘behind every great man, there’s a great woman,’ and country music star Randy Houser is no different. Behind every concert on every tour, one of his biggest supporters is always waiting backstage.

His blonde-haired, blue-eyed beauty Tatiana Houser  is one of our absolute favorite people to follow online for the light she brings to every post, whether she’s on the road with Randy, at the horse show, or just hanging at home. She’ll be the first to tell you that her life is very different from what she could have imagined but that she wouldn’t have it any other way. How did she find herself constantly on the road, from city to city involved with the country music scene? Simple…love and a love that made sense in every way she goes on to tell us.

“I was visiting my sister in Nashville; her husband is a song writer and they were having a baby. I planned to stay for a month before starting back at University in Australia after my summer break. That plan changed very quickly… My brother-in-law, Dallas, introduced me to one of his best friends, Randy, and that was pretty much it. Everything in my life just made sense when I met him and we knew immediately that we never wanted to be apart. Obviously that was difficult when my whole life was in Australia but I didn’t need to think twice about it. I knew I couldn’t be happy without him so I packed a suitcase and moved over.”

Australian born and raised, Tatiana started riding when she was 7 years old.

“There was a kids TV show called ‘The Saddle Club’ that my sister and I were crazy about, so all we wanted to do was have our own ponies. I was interested in eventing from day one, it was all about the cross country for me! I hadn’t really considered transitioning to Jumpers until I moved the the U.S.”

Back home in Australia, she trained in eventing with Emily Anker who Tatiana says was an inspiration to her from a young age.

“I loved watching her compete. Since moving to Nashville and transitioning to jumpers I have been training with Christoph Schroeder. He has a way of explaining things that makes everything seem simple and keeps me really calm. I feel very lucky to work with him!”

Keeping up with her husband’s tour schedule while still managing her studies and riding, is an ongoing balancing act but one that’s made easier Tatiana says, once you set goals and prioritize your commitments.

“Both of those things really help me manage the different aspects of my life well. Time management isn’t always easy and can become overwhelming, so I try to stay as organized as I can and eliminate anything that is unnecessary. I like to make sure that my husband is always number 1 and that I stay on top of my studies; then I treat riding as a reward because I think that keeps it fun for me. One of the best things that I have done lately is to eliminate any influences from my life that have a negative effect, drain energy and lower productivity. We only have 24hrs in a day so it’s important to use them well.”

Anytime spent on the back of a horse is time well spent so carving out a few hours during the day to visit her 12-year-old Hanoverian gelding Camouflage is a must to fit into her day-to-day schedule.

“Camo was purchased as a 2-year-old from Germany by my close friend Gail Dady. A year and a half after moving to Nashville I felt like there was a bit of a hole in my life without horses. Gail took me under her wing, she introduced me to the Show Jumping world in the U.S and to my trainer Christoph. When I described the kind of  horse that I would be looking for she thought she had the perfect fit, and she was right! He is everything that I could want and need right now so I feel very lucky to have him.”

When asked if there’s a chance that western riding may be in her future, she laughs and replies, “Randy grew up at rodeos, his dad was a bull rider so he is all about western riding. I definitely don’t see any western riding in my future but who knows! Never say never. I know that he would love me to give it a try; although I’m still trying to convince him to sit in an English saddle. I haven’t had any luck so far.”

Capturing life on the road or in the saddle, Tatiana’s Instagram keeps you scrolling and for so much more, horse sport enthusiast or not. So dive into this delightful feed and become as big a fan as we are of Tatiana Houser:

Approach to โ€˜grammingโ€™: I don’t over think it but I try to share different aspects of my life and interests. Whether it is Holistic Nutrition and Health (which I am currently studying), my life with my husband and our puppy ‘Hawk’, or my horse. I think it’s more interesting when people are authentic and you get to see all different sides of someone’s life.

Words of advice for a good IG account: It is more interesting to ‘fit-out’ than to ‘fit-in’. Just be you and don’t feel pressured to post every day. I find it so much more interesting when people show glimpses of their true selves and not who they wish they were. It should be fun to share your life and never become stressful!
