Dear Betty Boop,
Thank you for being an incredible mentor for me as I moved on from ponies to horses. We have had infinite amounts of fun, from showing in front of 8,000 people at Falsterbo Horse Show, to my first international show in Arezzo, Italy.
You may not be the fastest horse, but you make me feel very safe, and I know that you have enough capacity to get over the jumps (even if I might mess up slightly). You have been in this family for all 18 years of your life, born and raised on my grandparents’ farm. You’ve done so much with my mom, showing up to 1.50m classes, and I am so thankful that you have been passed onto me.
I have learned so incredibly much during the two years I’ve been riding you, and for that, I am incredibly grateful. I will do my absolute best to keep you healthy, so that you can show a few more years, since you are in your happiest state when you get to jump.
Thank you for taking care of me, I will never forget this time we’ve had, and the time that will come.
