Time flies when you’re having fun with horses, and Week 1 of the 2018 Winter Equestrian Festival is just around the corner! Similar to the Oscars (though sans the red carpet), the burning question on the minds of riders from coast to coast is the same: what will everyone be wearing?
For the Joan Rivers of equestrian style trends, NF Style turned once again to Tack N Rider’s Amit Ramani. Since its expansion into the show jumping market in 2012, the Wellington-based Tack N Rider store has been on a mission to deliver high-quality equestrian products and a terrific customer experience to you and your four-legged friends.
So which cutting-edge products made our Winter Circuit must-have list this season? Click through the slideshow above to find out!
New Year, new you! “This fits identically to the Samshield Miss Shield Shadow Matt Wide Visor Helmet,” says Ramani. Still on the fence about wearing a wide-visor? This one is a strong contender for being your first.
It’s all about customization this year. “Create your own look with this jacket made from lightweight technical fabric. Best of all, you can envision what your jacket will look like prior to ordering,” says Ramani.
Flex On stirrups are now customizable! A top-selling product in 2017, you can now design the color (or even national flags!) on your stirrups and have them at your doorstep in just two weeks.
“If you have not heard of For Horses breeches by now, you are probably not paying close attention,” jokes Ramani. For Horses is one of the top-selling breeches brands in the U.S. An improvement on their previous “Remie” model, these breeches will be all you want to wear this season.
"Are you wearing jeans or breeches?" It's a fair question when you're wearing For Horses' latest denim riding pant. From the stable to the streets, these breeches embody both style and comfort in the saddle—in other words, the best of both worlds on and off your horse.
“If you are still looking for an anatomic bridle, look no further,” says Ramani. “Schockemoehle Sports scores a big win in both the dressage and show jumping rings with this bridle.”
This tall boot is bound to be one of this year's “it” models, with its elegant style and classic design. The best part? No need to break them in, Ramani says—they’re soft and comfortable on day one!
“Leave it to Acavallo to think out of the box! These sleeves are designed to increase circulation to aid in recovery from injuries,” explains Ramani. Offering protection in the very important tendon and ligament zones, Acavallo's sleeves also allow ample ventilation to keep your horse’s legs cool.
As the saying goes, “Never steal for anything less than you deserve.” So why settle for a basic show jacket in the hunter ring? Enter Lotus Romeo’s new hunter coat design, with a three-button cut and lightweight fabric, it's as chic as it is performance-driven.
